The installation I had created specially for the exhibition “Chrisalide Effect" to illustrate it's main idea. In biology, Chrisalide effect is a final step in transformation of a caterpillar into a butterfly. Nobody cares if it is painful or scaring, people just expect the butterfly to be beautiful. A lot of woman are familiar with such attitude, and find it natural. A women spends time with her mirror to transform, to feel more confident, to get “ready". So, I used mirrors, hanged like golden cocoons chrisalides and half-covered with the threads. Everybody who looks in theese mirrors, sees himself in a cocoon, feels half-prepared and half-safe in the same time.
